Last week the rain came down for five consecutive days. I think that's the first time that has happened in the past seven years that I've lived in California. The sun would peak out a few times but then minutes later, the drops would start falling and the darker clouds would roll in.We all enjoyed the coziness that comes with a rainy day and it made the Christmas carols feel more festive and the lights from our little Christmas tree seemed to sparkle a little brighter.
One afternoon we kept busy by making soup and baking Christmas cookies. After enjoying both for lunch I was so pleasantly surprised that both boys napped. Not only did they both nap but they did it at the same time. Seeing as this is such a rare occurrence, I had to join them. That nap was the most luxurious feeling nap I have ever taken. Decadence.
Rain, rain, please come again another day.
